About Hanna
I’m a mother, community herbalist, postpartum doula in training, and the owner of Wild Nettle Tea Co—a mother-first apothecary rooted in care for the woman, not just the baby.
But more than titles, this work comes from lived experience.
I didn’t grow up with a model for gentle motherhood or healthy daily rhythms.
I was raised by a mother who, for lack of better words, wasn’t able to be a safe or steady guide.
I spent parts of my childhood in and out of foster care, around people who came and went, with an absent father and very little sense of what care, consistency, or softness could look like.

There was no one teaching me how to nourish myself, regulate my nervous system, move through womanhood, or motherhood with intention.
So I learned slowly. On my own. Through my motherhood journey. Through plants. Through mistakes, through burnout, through postpartum depression, and the silent rebuilding that comes when you decide to do things differently.
That’s why this work matters so deeply to me.
I believe modern motherhood often asks far too much and offers far too little in return.
We have lost our village, and more than ever we are expected to recover quickly, not complain, stay positive and productive, regulate household emotions, and somehow not lose ourselves in the process.
Over time, many mothers end up depleted, overstimulated, and disconnected from their own bodies, rhythms, and sense of self.
I know this, because i’ve lived it.
I had a front row seat to the “overstimulated mom” concert for the first 3 years of motherhood, and I rolled in shame about it day after day.
This space exists as a counter to that type of life.
I know what you might be thinking: ‘Tea? Really? That feels too simple to make a real difference.’
I thought the same thing. But here’s what I learned through my own rebuilding: you don’t need a complicated protocol. You need simple, daily nourishment that fits into the motherhood you actually have. Not the one your think you’re supposed to have.
Why herbalism & why mothers
Herbalism has always been about more than plants for me.
I’ve been studying herbalism since my high school mentor (that is an herbalist herself) introduced me to it 13 years ago. I have been a practicing community herbalist for around eight years now.
Over those years, I’ve learned that herbalism isn’t about complicated protocols or overwhelming routines. It’s about rhythm, deep nourishment, and learning to listen to your body without the woo-woo.
And why mothers? Because I am one. Motherhood is all I know, and I have experienced all sides of it. From resenting it, wondering if I was cut out for it, to fully embracing it as the best part of my life.
That’s why I created blends like Whole Mother, Nurtured Mama, and Sensory Serenity, pre-formulated teas designed specifically for depleted mothers in the postpartum YEARS.
No guesswork. No decision fatigue. Just simple, daily nourishment that helps you feel calmer, clearer, and more like yourself again—usually within the first few days.
Because you don’t need to become an herbal expert to start rebuilding. You just need one small, grounding thing you can come back to each day.
Modern herbalism feels muddled, incomplete, complicated, clinical, and intimidating. I don’t believe it needs to be, in fact I know it isn’t.
I focus on simple, approachable herbalism for postpartum and early motherhood.
The kind that fits into real life.
Teas you’ll actually drink. Rituals that don’t add more to your to do list. Gentle support for overstimulation, depletion, and the constant sensory load that so many mothers carry.
This work is about slowing down, learning something new, tending to our femininity, softness, and nourishing our bodies in a world that often values output over care.
Who this space is for

Which Tea is Right for You?
If you’re ready to start rebuilding your baseline with herbal support, here’s where to begin:
For depleted mothers who are NOT breastfeeding:
→ Whole Mother – A deeply nourishing, mineral rich daily tea + herbs for emotional overload and relaxation. This is the foundational blend for nervous system support and nourishment. I say not for breastfeeding because some mothers say lemon balm (part of the mint family) lowered their milk supply. It didn’t happen to me, but be cautious.
For depleted mothers who ARE breastfeeding, combine these (no lemon balm):
→ Nurtured Mama – A deeply nourishing, restorative, mineral-rich daily tea designed for the third trimester and the postpartum years to come.
→ Sensory Serenity – A gentle herbal blend for stress and overstimulation in motherhood. If you’re constantly on edge and overstimulated, this one’s for you.
Each bag contains 30 servings (or 15 stronger overnight infusions if you want the most nourishing preparation).
Most of my clients notice they feel clearer and more nourished within the first few days. With consistent use over a few weeks, you’ll feel calmer, less reactive, and more like yourself again.
